Create28 Fall ~ Summer to Fall Transition + Blog Hop!!

SUPER excited today because not only is it Link Up day, I am participating in a Blog Hop with my fellow bloggers at The Blended Blog! The Blended Blog (TBB) is a new blog collaboration with a group of ladies that I met through several style challenges. We have been taking turns sharing ways to transition summer pieces into Fall. This is also my Create28 "Trying a Trend" post! :)

If you are hopping over from Lana's blog, WELCOME!! If you haven't checked out the two other blogs in the "hop," check them out!! We have my friends Deena who is featuring vests, and Lana who is all about transitioning tanks and tees.

Today I am transitioning a plaid dress. Typically plaid is considered a "fall" item but this dress can be worn across the the seasons!! Check it out!

Look 1 ~ Early Fall. Where I live, September and lots of October are still pretty warm, so bare legs and sandals are the norm! The fact that this dress is 3/4 sleeved helps with the heat factor....and of course, the sunglasses :) In the second picture I wore ankle boots (and no sunglasses!) to make it slightly more fall-like, while still keeping cool!

Look 2: Later Fall ~ In this look, I cozied up a bit with a scarf and tall boots. This can be easily made an even cooler weather outfit with tights or leggings. Burgundy or some fun mustard tights would be my choice!

Plaid Dress: Target (exact, see other options below!)
Sandals:Target/Sold Out (option)
Ankle Boots: (similar, similar)
Boots: Corso Como/Nordstrom (similar)
Scarf: Nordstrom/BP: (option,option)

Here are some other cute plaid dresses I've seen ~ click on any image for more info :)
If you are mad for plaid like I am and you don't own a plaid dress, I highly suggest finding one you love! It might be a bit of a search, but I think you will get a lot of wear out of it in the fall months!

  19. Super cute dress! I would definitely have to wear it with boots and a scarf where I live. . . . And actually, I think I may have to add tights. . . . I hate being cold, but am envious that you can wear it in the fall!

  21. Oh how I love that plaid dress, and I'm not a dress girl! I'd wear it with black tights in the winter as I don't think I'm "brave" like you and wear colored tights. ;-)

  22. What a precious dress! I am looking for a plaid dress now. Visited a few at TJMaxx last weekend. Might have to make a run over there tomorrow. Glad to read you would pair it with leggings, because I was thinking that, too, but wasn't sure. That Sarah is pretty darn cute, too! XO
