Mommy's Little Fashionista

Clearly, she gets her fashion sense from me. Love Daddy's nylon Addidas shorts and camel shoes combo...then coupled with the hot pink hat--dynamite!! Total America's Next Top Model material.

Work it, baby!!!

Kiss Me!

I guess it should say "HALF Irish???"

I Hate Being Naked!!!

Birthday Party in Fresno

Brookey and I went to Fresno this weekend to celebrate Ashley's 3rd birthday. The "boys" stayed home for some male bonding!! It was nice to have girl time with Brookey, but I missed my Little Man!!!

Little Buddy: He Cries!

Here are some random pics of Little Buddy this week. He's kinda learned to really CRY this week!! Before he would just grunt or whine when he didn't like something, but now he really lets us know when he's unhappy by letting out some good old-fashioned wails! I guess crying is a milestone most kids hit right out of the womb...it took our kid 10 weeks. Poor guy--he's a little slow!! :-)

10 Weeks Old?

Well, tomorrow Little Buddy turns a whopping TEN weeks old! Like I mentioned in my previous blog, it seems like he's been part our family forever! I also have to keep remembering that even though he wasn't a full PREEMIE, he was three weeks early which is considered by my Dr. to be "preterm." Therefore, I have to always adjust his age by 3 weeks. So technically he's only 7 weeks old!! I guess this explains why he still acts like a "baby"--sleeping, eating, pooping (most of the time). Since he seems like he's been around forever, I think I am already expecting him to be sitting, rolling, crawling, walking :-) Please remind me to just stop, slow down and ENJOY this stage. As I always say with Brooke, it won't be long before he will want nothing to do with me :-)

Two Months Old!

Little 'Ol Buddy turned 2 months this past week. It is hard to believe he is ONLY two months old--it seems like he's been a part of our family forever!! So far :-), he's such a good kid. He is what The Baby Whisperer would call a "textbook baby" or an "angel baby." So far, he's doing everything right on time...no earlier, no later than the books say. For example, a milestone for the end of the second month is smiling. He cracked his first smile on his two month birthday. Also, at his two month appointment, he was 50th percentile across the board, with the exception of height where there is is in the 10th percentile!! Helllloooo!! The Dr. laughed and said she would bet he'll be at 50% by his next appointment. She also mentioned that since he was a little early we have to adjust his age by 3-4 weeks until about age 2 when most kids catch up. So I guess if we adjust his age with everything, he's ahead of the curve :-)

This is all very different than Brooke, who was usually ahead of milestones and in the 98th percentile across the board!! It's tough not to compare but I am really trying to accept each little one as there own person with their own strengths. I've already prepared myself for the fact that Little Buddy probably won't be able to sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star at 18 months, but he will probably surpass Brooke on physical milestones like crawling, walking and climbing. It's just so neat to see how different their little personalities are!!!

Mother's Day/Birthday Weekend

Unfortunately, Will and his 18 hour-a-day sleeping habit did not allow us to get any cool WHOLE family pics...but here we all are...in some form or another. It was a great weekend but Scott and I both realized "we aren't in Kansas anymore." Meaning, the ball game has changed with two little ones. It's quite a bit different traveling with two! Especially when they are both off their schedules and one of them happens to be constipated!!! :-) Good times!! However, I can't complain--we are blessed with wonderful, healthy kids, we have awesome families and I have a super-awesome husband who surprised me with a new Mac laptop! Yay!

Grandma's Visit

We had a great time spending the week with Scott's mom, AKA: Grandma Taylor! Brookey was so happy to have someone to do girly projects with like crafts and jewelry making. Will was content just being fed and held. :-) We all went to the Cheesecake Factory yesterday to celebrate an early Mother's Day.

Faces of Will

Between the things that come out of Brooke's mouth and Will's expressions, we are never short of laughs in this house!! Will has chunked up in the past week, big time! Or as Brookey says, "He beefy little boy!!!"
