Seven on Sunday Weeks 29 + 30

Behind again but I am thinking this every two weeks thing is works better for me :) Here are the camping pictures--we had such a great time! This past week, Brooke finished her 6 week theater camp and I am SO FREAKING PROUD of her!! It's truly amazing how much she grew this summer through this program! I can't say enough good things about Young Rep! She's already planning her classes for next summer!

**Oh, and if there is any question while looking at these pics--YES, BROOKE IS TALLER THAN ME, OK??!! :)

Here are some highlights from camping--it was the best trip!!!

 By the Bixby Bridge:

There was one beach with all of these "forts" someone had built--they had a blast for hours playing in them!

Waiting for the overcast to go away!! Surprisingly, it wasn't that cold at all!

Gotta earn your keep around the campsite!

Sarah found her passion washing dishes!

On top of the world!

Just floatin' down the lazy river...

Woo hoooooo!!!!!! (right before he got stuck on the rock!)

 She had a blast, too!

These two became unlikely besties!

So happy these two are friends!

Selfie at the Bridge:

Too many years of friendship to count between all of us!!!

Besties :)

We already booked our sites for next year!!!! Counting the days!!

And in other news...

Daddy and Sarah golfing date...

They are ready for soccer season!! Am I??!!

Little Miss Sunshine at Trader Joes :)

A visit to Little Farm and a morning nature hike..

She got her ears "peered" and didn't cry a bit--all smiles!

An almost-end to Brooke's Young Rep theater program. All that is left is a rehearsal and the "final showcase" this Thursday. What a blessing this program has been for her this summer!

Enjoy your week!!

Seven on Sunday ~ Week 27 + 28

Catching up from a crazy few weeks...a mini Tahoe getaway, lots of swimming and Brooke's Young Rep classes and activities!! I can't believe there is less than a month left to go before summer is OVER!!!

 Highlights from our Tahoe Trip...

Going up in a Gondola that took us to about 8,000 ft was definitely a highlight!!!

The view from above:

There is a (heated) swimming pool at the top of the mountain....and still snow on the mountains in July!! Amazing!!

Swimming near the snow!

Snow + Bathing Suits! We also played in the FREEZING snow in flip flops!

Snow in July!

We loved our hotel, The Village at Squaw Valley. We would have loved to stay a lot longer!!

The next day we hit the beach!!!  It was GORGEOUS with the snow capped mountains in the background.

We rented a paddleboat and got our leg workout in!! Sarah was SO scared!!!

I was so terrified I would drop my phone in the lake!!

Some summer randomness from the week...

This says SUMMER!!!!

Cheeseballs for the cheeseball :)
(thanks Grandma!)

I loved this pic one of my aunt's found!! There aren't a ton of pics of my grandparents but this one is awesome! My grandpa is the one in the middle and my grandma is on the right :) They look just like I remember them :)

Celebrating the last day of swimming! Will only took one session and improved SO MUCH!! Sarah is swimming a little now and is so much more confident in the water!

On Saturday, Brooke volunteered all day in 100++ degree heat at a family theater festival...all in the name of resume building! It was SO HOT and she was outside all day, I was seriously worried about her!  But they took excellent care of the volunteers -- feeding them and giving them TONS of water all day long. It was a great experience!!

I took Sarah and Will to the festival for awhile (until we nearly passed out from heat stroke). It was REALLY COOL. They really went all out. Next year, we will plan better and see some of the shows INDOORS. The tickets were gone by the time we got there.

I guess Brooke's reward for her hard work all day was making it onto the Young Rep Facebook page!! HAHAHA! (Young Rep is the summer theater program where she's spending EVERY weekday this summer).

My little Hawaiian princess :)

Have a great week!!!!! We are just enjoying the last few weeks of summer and getting ready for a nice camping trip to Big Sur this weekend!! XOXO

Seven on Sunday ~ Week 26

Day 1: Sunday ~ From what I remember, last Sunday was a super lazy day...church, grilling out  and this cucumber salad, I think were all involved!

Day 2: Monday ~ We spend a lot of time at the par between Brooke's acting class and Will and Sarah's swim lessons. He's pretty much mastered this climbing wall!

Day 3: Tuesday ~ It was A LOT cooler this week than last week--she was freezing when she got out of the pool!

Day 4: Wednesday ~ Wednesday was such fun night for us! Brooke and I went to see the performance of Alter Boyz with her Young Rep acting class. They got to do a private Q&A with the cast afterward--it was SUCH a great experience for her! We laughed so hard the entire show and agreed it was probably the best show we have ever seen!

Brooke with one of the hilarious cast members:

Day 5: Thursday ~ Just clowning around!!!

Day 6: Friday ~ Last day of swim! Well, until Monday! HA!

My mom, aunt and grandma also came to visit!

 4 generations!!

Annnndddd...Brooke got a bird! Seriously, we officially live in a zoo now!

Day 7: Saturday ~ Saturday, my family spent the day with the kids and Scott and I went to Napa for a belated anniversary trip. We went to Grigich Hills, Del Dotto and lunch at Farmstead. Everything was just excellent! It was the perfect day!

Del Dotto was UH-MAZING!

This week is more acting and swimming and this weekend we are headed to Tahoe! Happy 4th of July!!!!
