Gymnastics Video

Long Time, No Post!

I know I've been so bad about posting. It's been a pretty crazy week, but I'll have more to post next week. Right now, Brookey is doing great. She actually participated in her first "Big Girl" gymnastics class. Last week was a disaster and she refused to do anything without her old coach. This week she was much better and I think it will get even more fun for her once she warms up to the new coach. She our little cautious girl!!! You gotta EARN her trust!!! I have been trying to post a gymnastics video onto this site, but it never goes through. I'll try to figure it out and get a video up and running soon. It's too cute!

Soccer Practice with Maddie!

After taking the summer off, soccer started again for Brookey. This "season" her friend Maddie is joining her. As you can see, they're having a great time! So far, Brookey is much more into soccer than she was last season. She seems to get the hang of it more and is much better at following directions and interacting with her coach. I think that's all part of being almost 3!! Big girl!! :-)

No More "Mommy and Me!"

Brookey reached her first gymnastics milestone today! She graduated from "Sparklers," which is a Mommy/Daddy and Me class, to "Shining Stars," the 3-4 year old class for "big girls" not accompanied by a parent. Her coach said she may even be ready for the next class after Shining Stars for kids 3-6! She'll be the only one in the class under 3. I almost cried when they rang the bell and announced to the gym that Miss Brooke Rooney had "graduated!" It's a good thing another Baby Rooney is on the way, because Brookey is not my baby any more--she's just growing up too fast!

Hair Clips & Nesting

Since there has been such an influx of little baby girls all of a sudden (with more on the way!!), I thought it would be helpful to start making cute little girl hair clips. Not to mention, I'm a little tired of spending $8 for matching clips everytime I go to Gymboree! It also might be the fact that "nesting" is hitting me a little early this pregnancy! I feel the need to "craft" and cook in between feeling like I want to hurl. Anyhoo, here is my first shot at some girly clips. Hopefully, I'll have many more designs on the way!
