Happy Monday! Welcome to Week 3 of Create28 Winter! It's been a blast so far and we are loving all out your outfits at #create28winterlooks!
Today's outfit was a bit of a challenge--find something in your closet that has "never been blogged." I used this as a challenge to find a piece that I just don't wear very much and see if I could come up with a fun outfit!
This black and white striped turtleneck totally fit the bill! It's been sitting in my closet for a couple of years and I mean to toss it every time I clean my closet, but I can't part with it just yet. It's a super versatile piece (i found out) but I am not 100% sold turtlenecks are for me. Perhaps too many memories from middle school when I wore oversized sweatshirts and a turtleneck almost everyday! (and stone washed jeans. it wasn't pretty, people)
I came across this outfit on Pinterest which I think is simple and cute for a fun night out ~
It would also look super cute with a cargo vest or jacket!
Since my black and white turtleneck is such a versatile piece, I think it will be sticking around a little longer!

I think this is a great outfit and yes, I had reservations about turtlenecks too but it is such a comeback piece right now and your top is very versatile.

Turtlenecks are definitely one of those items I have a hard time getting rid of. I'm down to 2! I think you have done well with this look and if it's not taking up too much quality real estate I would consider keeping. You just never know when a trip to a much colder climate might require layers. :)
ReplyDeleteI could totally wear what you're wearing right now but I think Winter has ended here in SoCal! Have a lovely week ahead!

Sometimes I wish I could wear turtlenecks, but just looking at you wearing one makes me feel claustrophobic, haha. But looks great on you! I definitely think if you can wearing one you should!
ReplyDeleteLove the turtleneck paired with the fur vest! Thank you for hosting and hope you are having a fab week!

Hope to see you Thursday for TBT Fashion link up.
Too cute! Love your fur vest!
ReplyDeleteCute look, Casey! I love those cords for sure!
ReplyDeleteI was on the fence with turtlenecks too until I tried a tissue one. There is something nice about a thinner one that has allowed me to work up to thicker ones like you are wearing.
ReplyDeleteI haven't worn a turtleneck in years either. But that one is so cute! I think having a striped one would get me back on the turtleneck train! :)
ReplyDeleteI've been totally into turtlenecks this winter, as they make perfect layering pieces. I'm loving your stripe one, and your vest looks perfect with it!
